Membership Has Its Privileges

+

Nutmeg Soaring Association (NSA) and the Freehold Airport provide a unique aviation experience. NSA owns a Piper Pawnee tow plane and four high performance gliders, as well as a vintage barn hangar and 10 modern aviation hangers. Transportation on the field is via our fleet of golf carts. For those who fly in for a weekend visit, tie-downs are available. A fully equipped pilots lounge/club house with kitchen, bbq, and bathroom provides a social scene after the day's soaring is done. There’s lots of room for camping and a shower is available in our bunk room. When a warm summer afternoon comes to a close, many members, friends, and extended family enjoy swimming in the Catskill Creek before the evening's social activities begin.

Initial Trial Membership

+

All new prospective members have a one year trial period. This is to ensure a harmonious fit between the club and any applicant. After successfully completing the first year of membership the candidate will be voted in and enjoy the full voting rights and privileges of the Nutmeg Soaring Association.

Initial membership fee for the first year $500 + $50 a month + tow fees.

A Club… not a Commercial Operation

+

Nutmeg Soaring Association is a volunteer organization and in no way resembles a commercial operation. There is no paid staff. Flight instructors and tow pilots volunteer their services and members run the ground operation. Flight times cannot be reserved. Ideal new members wish not only to take up the sport of soaring, but will contribute their time and skills to run a successful and safe operation…
